MathLib.arcsin()

MathLib.arcsin() calculates the inverse sine of a number. \[ \text{MathLib.arcsin}(x) = \arcsin(x) \]

Examples

To calculate the inverse sine of 2 type: MathLib.arcsin(2);

Specification

MathLib.arcsin accepts one argument. Any additional arguments will be ignored. The type of the argument should be number. For other argument types see the unary function specification.
  1. MathLib.arcsin(NaN) = NaN
  2. MathLib.arcsin(+0) = +0
  3. MathLib.arcsin(-0) = -0
  4. MathLib.arcsin(x) = NaN if x>1
  5. MathLib.arcsin(x) = NaN if x<-1
  6. otherwise MathLib.arcsin(x) = inverse sine of x.

Implementation

MathLib uses the built-in JavaScript implementation Math.asin.
