MathLib.arccsc()

MathLib.arccsc() calculates the inverse cosecant of a number. \[ \text{MathLib.arccsc}(x) = \operatorname{arccsc}(x) \]

Examples

To calculate the inverse cosecant of 2 type: MathLib.arccsc(2);

Specification

MathLib.arccsc accepts one argument. Any additional arguments will be ignored. The type of the argument should be number. For other argument types see the unary function specification.
  1. MathLib.arccsc(NaN) = NaN
  2. MathLib.arccsc(x) = NaN (if -1 < x < 1)
  3. MathLib.arccsc(+∞) = +0
  4. MathLib.arccsc(-∞) = -0
  5. otherwise MathLib.arccsc(x) = inverse cosecant of x.

Implementation

MathLib uses the identity \[ \operatorname{arccsc}(x) = \arcsin\left(\frac{1}{x}\right) \] and the built-in JavaScript function Math.asin.
